Hi, this is me...

My name is Cris Urzúa. The sexy way to describe my job is that I’m a coach in sales, negotiations, and business strategies. But the reality? I help you sell more, faster, and with less stress.

I was born in Cancún, Mexico, and my journey as a salesperson started at the age of seven. When I wasn’t busy chewing on my toys, I was selling and trading them—always making a profit in the process.

At 17, after watching Ratatouille and Top Chef, I spent six months studying gastronomy. But after that time behind a deep fryer, I realized it wasn’t for me. After a period of frustration and stress, I decided to become independent. I started looking for a job, and after a random finger-point in a newspaper, I landed my first one…

In a hotel… but it wasn’t just any hotel. It was a specific industry, one of the hardest to sell in the world: TIMESHARE. So I went to ask for a job in this salesroom and ended up in probably the worst salesroom in Cancún, where my manager asked me to lie every day, there were drugs it was something like The Wolf of Wall Street, but with Hawaiian shirts.

After spending months there, I quit and continued my life working in hospitality. For more than 8 years, I worked as a sales and marketing manager for brands like Westin and Marriott. I worked in Santiago de Chile, Turkey, Cancún, and more, managing teams that generated over a million and a half dollars per month.

Until one day, a great friend gave me a book called The 4 Hour Workweek, a book that talks about the possibility of doing business online, and that’s when the idea of entrepreneurship on the internet got stuck in my head… It only took me four years to make my first sale online. Four years where I spent thousands of dollars to learn new strategies, but guess what? I DIDN’T APPLY ANYTHING. I became a wantrepreneur. After four years of being stuck in that cycle, I made one of the toughest decisions of my life: I quit my job as a manager and convinced my then-girlfriend (Lau) to move to Santiago de Chile.

And that’s when I wanted to start my own business again. So, I found another job at a telemarketing agency, but soon enough, I ended up hating it because it wasn’t what I wanted to be doing. And in that moment of frustration and desperation, I finally decided to launch my first online business. In a small apartment, with no production, I invested $1,000 in Facebook ads, and 21 days later, I made $10,000 with my first online program... That moment changed my life! And that’s where it all began.

Today, I have the honor of being the CEO and founder of MAS Academy. I am also the founder of companies like MAS al Cubo, my marketing agency, and ROICASTER, the only platform designed to monetize your podcast.

I am a columnist for Forbes magazine and have been featured in international media such as Entrepreneur, where the magazine dedicated an entire edition to me, América Economía, and others.

I am the creator of M! by MAS Academy, the most important sales, marketing, and digital entrepreneurship event in Latin America, and I have impacted thousands of people by hosting events across the continent.
